A Walk through Forest Lane
A Walk through Forest Lane
As you walk through dust of
Puzzled fairies
The sun beats down on
Evergreen roots
Grasping the earth with its
Branched fingertips
As you hear the echoing calls of
Searching Robins
You remember that eve
In which nature’s power
Showed no mercy
Lightning
A tree arm
Swallowed in spreading fire
As you sit at the foot of
Blackened trees
They whisper in song to you
A harmony
Of memories and destruction
The wind moves their arms
Capturing you
Darkness
Then light
The forest becomes silent
As you walk through dust of
Puzzled fairies
The sun beats down on
Evergreen roots
Grasping the earth with its
Branched fingertips
As you hear the echoing calls of
Searching Robins
You remember that eve
In which nature’s power
Showed no mercy
Lightning
A tree arm
Swallowed in spreading fire
As you sit at the foot of
Blackened trees
They whisper in song to you
A harmony
Of memories and destruction
The wind moves their arms
Capturing you
Darkness
Then light
The forest becomes silent
