The Purpose of a Girlfriend

I'm not just a toy you can swing around
Like a three-year-old's rag doll with red yarn string hair
You've got to treat me like a person and not just an object
Not something you can touch without knowing the real feeling
The feelings that I get when your hands are on me
I wonder whether you care or just want my body
Demolish the walls you've built around yourself
The corrosion will take years but our fists will take minutes
I'm still here for a reason, you need to let me in
Cause what is a girlfriend if you can't tell me this?
I won't settle for being played with like a toy
I need to know you're keeping me around for more than just touch
A genuine problem, please just express it to me
Don't keep it hidden, let it out for my eyes to see
If you can't let me in and show me what's the bother
I won't be around around for very much longer
Eventually all toys become old and broken
And what other choice will you have but to throw me away?
