Stargazing

I've set my wish upon a star
Gazing at the beauty above
No matter if you will believe
In a power, a creator, the afterlive, or hell
Because heaven is not what I see from afar
But this moment of peace
This contented slice of time

On coarse tanbark I lay
Thinking o f those twinkling skies
In the cold night air that bites through my jacket
No cold can penetrate this perfect place
This is my wish granted
By a shooting star
