Spring and Joy Is poems

Spring is green,

Like a crisp apple waiting to be picked from the orchard,

Leaves blowing ever so gently in the wind,

And the sweet smelling grass as I lay back and watch clouds.

Spring is blue,

Like the picture perfect sky on a sunny day,

A soft baby blanket for her,

And robin’s eggs before they hatch and chirp, chirp, chirp.

Spring is pink,

Like icing on birthday cake,

Blossoms on the apple tree,

And juicy watermelon.

Spring is purple,

Like crunchy delicious m&ms,

Easter eggs a bunny hides for little children,

And flowers dancing in the meadow.

Joy is yellow.

Joy smells like laundry, swaying this way and that with the slight breeze.

Joy tastes like warm gingerbread cookies, fresh from the oven.

Joy sounds like a child’s laugh.

Joy feels like the summer sun’s warmth surrounding my skin.

Joy looks like a rainbow, dazzling colors bursting from the sky.

Joy is an ocean’s crashing waves
