As the Roses Bloom
A bouquet of roses
That have not bloomed
You gave to me
So very soon
The giggle if a child
Like a bell chimes
As the wind blows
So many times
The feel of your fingers
On my skin
The feeling in life
That I'll never win
The thoughts that you blow
Right out of my mind
They used to be tangled
But now they unwind
I stare at the flowers
Outside of my room
I will come to you
As the roses bloom
That have not bloomed
You gave to me
So very soon
The giggle if a child
Like a bell chimes
As the wind blows
So many times
The feel of your fingers
On my skin
The feeling in life
That I'll never win
The thoughts that you blow
Right out of my mind
They used to be tangled
But now they unwind
I stare at the flowers
Outside of my room
I will come to you
As the roses bloom
