Companionship

Despondent, concealed by the moonless night,
Fallen star imperfectly complacent,
That wistful heart wanders to witness sight,
To that the heart attaches adjacent.

Excoriated with a charged disdain,
Shards of a foreboding melancholy
Have evanesced in tandem with the pain.
Yes, ever since that special volley.

The stars but hold a candle to your light,
Your scintillating countenance and being.
Hyperactive inner reflection hathn't might
So let's discard limits to free our seeing.
With you every pain is irrelevant,
So I will remain blissful and fervent.
