An Admirable Man

Today I saw an admirable man
He spoke in tongues of elegant gestures
Moving his lips to the beat of the crowd
The sun beat down so the skin it would fester
Who did know I was burning out loud?

Into his eyes a world so blue
I wish I could live there forever in peace
One with the masses and one with the multiple
universes circling the sun circling the earth circling the podium
Circled by shining faces many creeds and races
Who did know such a storm would ensue?

He stepped down wiped the sweat from his brow
This admirable man felt the cross on his back
Just say the word and I'll carry it all just for him.
We'd all carry it just for him.
Just so the admirable man could take his last bow.
