The Bleeding Heart - Short Poems

Let the bleeding heart drown your soul

These words, they come, and they go,
let join as one, body and soul.
You'll see not once,
but many more
the pain it brings,
and the love that's born.
Everything comes,
Everything goes.
Never doubt that something will leave,
because nothing is forever...
not even...
Love is lonesome and not worth having,
because you will never be able to keep,
the dieing...
So let it bleed.
Bleed it dry.
Watch the juiced flow from it all,
till everything is dead and gone.

The darkness seems lonely at first,
but you'll get used to it...

Pain induces it,
Pain ensues it.
A constant torture amidst the pain.
A constant torture all in vain.
What do you do?
Something so vicious...
To end the pain of a cure
To all you must lure.
But in the end,
end of it all.
The whisper fades...

Loneliness is contagious,
so continue the epidemic...

As day becomes night,
and night becomes day.
All who follow,
none who stay.
Swallowed whole in the emptiness of it all...
None will mingle,
for all will fall.
And not the whitest wings,
on the blackest nights.
Can save one's soul,
from the darkening blight.
Were it not as it is,
or not as it were,
the darkest light to be seen,
were nothing but white...

Shed your mask,
only to find a new one...

The bleeding heart dies,
and is reborn again.
As if from the flames of suffering,
to consume it all again.
Let it be not the first,
and not the last either,
time you hear this warning...
and the message it brings...
