Death poem

Shadow has reached my soul.
Even now when I see the light
I see that shadow even more;
For that light, shiny and white
Is only a reflection of things that were,
Forever lost memories; I'm quite sure:
Horrible things are yet to occur.

As deathly shadow grows stronger,
In my thoughts I'm getting lost
Awful nightmare is getting longer
It's not death I fear the most;
It's loneliness that's been sneaking from behind
To take my soul, forever to me to be bound;
My soul is helpless: it surrenders with no sound.

Beware, my friend, beware of the One
Whose strong hands take you far
From evereything you worship and love,
from everything that you really are!
For there is something you have deep in your soul
Something stronger, something that makes you whole:
It's love you bear... it's love you always need more.

Use that love, dear friend of mine!
Don't let your heart forget what it owns!
Don't let it forget that feeling divine
And you will never walk this world alone!
My end is coming closer, I feel it, oh, dear my friend!
There's nothing I can do, I can't fight, I can't defend.

This shadow's too strong though I see the light
but only light of those things that were,
Lost memories... and I'm quite sure
Something horrible is about to occur;
I've closed my eyes and lost my breath
I've just been taken down by the hand
Of Death.
