Fall In Love

Falling in love is dangerous, you might fall on your face,
And abandon people, mess it up, steadily drip from grace.
Falling is by accident, and most of the time it hurts,
Especially when he's the cold pavement, that's when it's the worst.

The hot ones are the broken bits, cracked and trip you up,
But sometimes you manage to save yourself, hopefully in luck.
You hit the ground and can't get up, with grazed and bleeding knees,
Just like your heart, it won't mend, don't beg please.

Sometimes you get to your feet and you can drift on by,
Smiling and not stepping on the cracks, feeling to fly.
You avoid the grassy bit and stones and always watch your feet,
Because he's the biggest broken bit you will ever meet.

You think you've got it sorted and then you fall down again,
Maybe over another broken bit, you can never learn.
It may be that your broken bit has found another victim,
He doesn't care about your knees, it doesn't bother him.

Falling in love is by accident though most people can hardly see,
Watch out for the broken bits that make you trip and bleed.
You might trip over a better broken bit and really hurt yourself,
Watch out for the grassy bits in between and learn to heal yourself.
