Mans' fatal touch

As our thriving society expands,
Our wilderness is stolen,
Why must we destroy everything we touch?
The great bear reduced to a show
The dodo turned to dust,
What is it with humans' insane bloodlust?

The untouched and preserved beauty,
A look of pure freedom,
Golden sun upon crystal clear waves,
Ha! I laugh upon that,
That is purely beneficial for us,

Do we care not for the tiger,
The polar bear, man's supposed foe,
Well we won, the proof,
There's nothing to show,

Do people take vindictive pleasure in seeing a world slowly dying?
With every bullet fired,
Every cow-hide rug,
Screaming down halls falling upon deaf ears,
All sights upon blind eyes,
I continue to ask why we keep our above the clouds,
I am mere adolescent child,
I cannot speaks freely to the adult crowd.

Longing for a world that cannot exist
But how do I live with it?
