Shadow's Isolation

The front booth, the glass shattered,
Spiders envelope their territory.
The front doors open allowing the abyss to be known.

Walking, hearing your heart rush with blood,
Pumping, heating your body,
Can you feel it? Can you hear it?
The moaning in the distance to whispers.

The opera stage torn to bits, the velvet red cloth,
Just worn to a maroon color torn to shreds,
With webbing surrounding, engulfing and preserving the past together.

The usual crowded seats empty untouched by beings.
Sending a chill through your bones, aching to get out.
Yet you don’t, your body cringes from hearing the whispers again.
Turning, slowly walking towards the stage,
The lights blinking, making a static noise.

Peering your head down a vent on the stage floor.
A breeze of a ill smell, covering your nose.
The floor boards cracking form pressure, they give in.
Shattering, pulling you into the dark abyss below.

Only a light enveloped one small area walking towards the light,
Thinking your death, smelling rust in the air from the water on the floor.
Creaking sounds heard, feeling something brush against you leg slightly,
Jumping in fear, you plunge your hand into the water searching for what it was.

Something entangled and knotted around your thin fingers,
Lifting your hand in a sudden shock,
Something wet clumping on your hand entangled.
A head of a doll, mostly covered by human hair.
Shrieking in fear, you run towards that light at the end.
Thrashing your hand into the wall loosening the doll falling into the water.

Running, running towards that light at the end.
Facing a chair turned away from the light,
A burning candle almost to die.
Your hand shaking, fearing of the next outcome.
Grasping the chairs soft leather seeing something covered
Spinning the chair around the cloth surrounding dropped.

A face of a human yet the rest unsure…
The rest of broken parts of other people, emotions…
Envy, Hate, Love, Affection, Confusion, Sadness.
A letter attached to the man’s chest like a tattoo.

“People are people if they are different…
They need not the change to be someone else…”
