Did You Ever Truly Care For Them?

Strong, arrogant, confident
That's how we seem everyday
We have fun, we smile and laugh
Some of us haven't even been seen crying

But that's all a facade
What's on the surface can't be completely true
Sometimes, none of it may even be true

We are afraid
Afraid to convey our feelings
Afraid to show our true selves
Afraid to do or say something that some might not like

This is why we become too late

Is it just me?
Or has any of you notice?
A person is most valuable in his or her deathbed

Once a person dies
Feelings come overflowing

Is it because their dead?
And we're not afraid to tell them all that we feel
Because they can't move
Can't fight back
Can never talk back

I don't know why the world runs this way
When someone dies
They're suddenly important

What's the use of that?
Their dead! They can hear you no more. . .
Why care for them now?

How can you say you cared for them?
When you have done nothing but shun them when they were still alive
Being afraid to tell others that you like this person
How can you say you ever truly cared for them?!
