A Night As A Princess.

I arrive at the ball,
At a quarter to nine,
Women wear dresses so fine,
And the men stand in line.

As I glance around the room,
I catch a glimpse of you,
People let you through,
When you've seen me too.

We dance and dance,
The night away.
And all too soon it's the break of day,
I have to run - there's nothing to say.

But dear Prince, I hope,
To see you once more,
And 'til that day, I'll be emotionally poor,
Just waiting for you to walk through my door.
