Teenage Anxiety

The sun beats down on the broken heart
The shattered glass is renewed
Tears falling down onto the drums
He's always beating something new

The moon shines brightest in the ocean
The coffin glitters in the night
Smiles breaking all the sad faces
She's sending flowers to you

He's landscaping the surprise
While trying to grip his reality
Every phone call isn't wasted
But he's always waiting on the hand grenade of time

She's panting on the chipped pavement
Phone left on the window pane
Music blasts in her ears
But she's waiting for his return day by day

Teenage anxiety is the rivalry
Pain is promised, what a shame
Bullets bleeding out to raised arms
Raindrops fall onto the decayed

He may be bloody but he ain't dead
Running down that victory road
Aiding the ones almost to the grave
Riots aren't leading this American war

She's being chased by the enemies attacks
Hiding out with police on patrol
The midnight stars have finally collapsed
A bullet to the brain isn't what she asked

He feels like the British holding no white flag
Only seventeen and life hasn't passed
Breathing & leaving because they won
Joy fills the hearts of long lost loves

Death has the hospital, the doctor said
Her heart has finally stopped beating at last
The grave is dug as Jason returns
She starts being lowered into the dirt

Plain and pale he rushes to her home
His excitement stops when mother opens the door
He runs to Sarah's grave all alone
The moon shines brightest on the shattered stone
