The Life of a Toilet

Warning: I honestly don't know what compelled me to want to write something liek this. I think, perhaps, it was just after a bathroom break and I felt sorry for the loo. Enjoy.

The Life of a toilet,
A strange tale to tell.
With components for water
Encased in a shell.

It’s rounded and angled
And quite the commode.
It’s had many adventures
And may have overflowed.

Though colored and stored
away in a room,
it is a needed appliance
more so than a broom.

It’s a place meant for sitting
From a minute to a few
Some people may sit longer
After eating a stew.

I’m sure it has heard
The strangest of sounds
Than any other appliance
Could have heard from the grounds.

When it is used
It’s job being complete,
The user may stand
And wipe off the seat.

Then with a handle
and one powerful flush
They force it to drink
strange liquids and mush.
