A Sunken Night

Morning fog covers the world
Giving way to all elements.
Silouetted against the sinking moon,
All odds are up for yellowed blurbs
With facial expressions we can't quite read.
With wild eyes we can't quite see.
The smell of calm,
But the feeling of oncoming danger.

The restless clouds turn night sky grey
Only hiding a much darker complexion.
They speak of tonight as if it were the last.
Is it?
They grab their garb, ready to fight.
I'm sinking away into a sunken night.
