Fate

I was with the angels up in heaven
Watching my “funeral” there before me
My loved ones came, many more than seven
They were grieving as far as I could see

My devastated family was shocked
They couldn’t believe their precious girl was dead
Their soft hearts became forever padlocked
I was murdered like Versace; I bled

There my coffin lay before the alter
My lifeless body was lying inside
Like a photo, fate would never falter
Now there was no one with whom I’d confide

The coffin was almost open, it seems
It was then that I awoke from the dream
