the sun

I reach out my hand,
Hold it out to the sun.
Begging it to let me hide.

In the suns rays,
I long for the cool caress of the moons light.
In the suns rays,
I prey to be in solitude,
As I am in the cool of the night.

I am drowning in questions,
Not my own,
But those other people through at me.
Why cant they realize I just don’t know?

People should learn to hold their silence,
Unless they have something important and well thought out to say;
People rarely do.

Dear one,
Will you come and take me away?
So once again,
I can lay silently here,
The only touch,
That of the moon.

I want to scream,
I wish I could show you what you do.
I want to make you see the world the way I do,
Even if only for a second.
