Love is a Sin in War

Life goes by through your blue eyes
You still need to run and hide.
My hazel eyes seem to pass by
I'm so broken inside.

You and me, we most likely see
We aren't meant to be.
Is this a dream or reality?
Through god's eyes, I can't see.

The war grows so close, but I can't stay away
Do I fight for what I love, or do I refrain?
Do I go into hiding? Do I try to break free?
They say run away, cross the borders of seas.

I tried to fight back, and I wouldn't listen.
In the end all that I want back is him.
He's my enemy, heartbreaker, terrible sin.
But angels repent, and to love helps me win.

I can't sleep, you turn me on
I ran away, but I hear your song
I hide in the ocean of memories
I'm hiding behind a computer screen

This love is war, There's nothing compared
I tried to hate you, but my emotions teared
I told you to stop, but inside I say go
There's many things about me, you'll never know

The bible on my table opens on its own
It tells me that this is where I'm left alone
I know what it's saying; I know it's my home
But sometimes it's hard; sometimes I say no

I tried to fight back, and I wouldn't listen.
In the end all that I want back is him.
He's my enemy, heartbreaker, terrible sin.
But angels repent, and to love helps me win.
