Smiles

An attraction that I never saw coming, one you seemed to return. Was it a polite casualty or an honest attraction? I had to know. Your eyes, so warm and full of smiles, never lingered for long, but linger still they did. Could I dare see those eyes again? If by some small miracle alone we happened upon one another I would take whatever smiles your eyes gave off. Starting off small, we spoke only little, but in time that grew. All day you’d speak and I’d pick our similarities. So many small details never meant so much. We met again by a little less than chance. Your admiration shone through your words and you let it be known of your want for my company. A night full of smiles and laughter. I’d never been so at ease. To seal the night with a promise of tomorrow and nothing more leaves me hungry. My curiosity burns in my chest and I yearn to be at the mercy of those eyes that shone so brightly with smiles.
