Confused and Abused

Screams ripped from my raw throat
silent, unheard
this agony for what I am, what I'm not
unknown by passerbyers,
unseen and guarded from the world
this passion, this secret, this person
I'm not this girl,
but I'm not this boy,
lost in a wonderland of confused identities,
playground for hatred,
drowning, falling, laughing, muttering; insanely
Smile plastered on my face, forced to face this world
...Nothing's ever what it seems.
