Black Core

They said they’d love you, love you always
Lips drenched in blood scream “Lies”
A grim reaper figure of broken bodies
For Every heart that dies

Black winged angels fly over old wounds
Ripping scars a mile wide
The rapist that touched an innocent
Punished for those who cried

They might as well have thrown the knife
Burying it within a broken chest
Wars of greed and sly deception
No better than the rest

Unstitch the lips of the rotting corpses
Let them stand up and fight
Blood red sunset pooled with greed
Piling tyrants in dieing light

What is left of a black cored world?
A nightmare land for all
Only so long we can fight to live
Before we surly fall

What is left of this lurid wasteland?
Burnt by liars acid pride
Run the naïve, run for hope
Find somewhere to hide

For cities built on Pandora’s Box
When emptied are no more
Apocalypse will creep on slowly
To the worlds black core.
