I Wish Were Something More Than An Inquistive Thought

It was said in a whisper,
It was said in a yell,
"You can ignore me,
But I don't see,
How that will help,"
I learned just the other day,
Some point in your life,
There will be a breaking point
A situation in which
I highly regret,
The answer came to me
And it screamed for help
Screamed for the truth,
But it burned for a lie,
Well, how about
The scene goes like this,
Worry about your reputation
Aloud,
You can't find your car
And you've lost your mind,
Does anyone care to,
Repeat the question, oh, Dear
I know the answer,
You let me cheat off you
During the big test,
Clever writings,
For a shallow story
Written by a qualified failure
'X' marks the spot
This is where it's buried;
It came along,
In a much more
Innocent time for me
And I know
I don't listen,
And I know that's the problem
Sometimes, though,
I wish I were more than
Just a dumb blond
Because what went on that night
Will be forever unanswered
I truly wish
I had the key,
But I don't
And now the equation is solved,
You'll never change
And I'll never learn to except the fact
That your no longer
My security blanket
