Lady Death

Lady Death waits at the corner,
For a person unaware.
Lots of people don’t believe,
But that doesn’t mean she’s not there.

Lady Death paces hospital halls,
Waiting for a chance.
Lot’s of people pass her by,
But don’t give a second glance.

Lady Death never sleeps,
She waits for the nightmares to start.
Lots of people sleep soundly,
But she can still stop your heart.

Lady Death never smiles, never frowns, never cries,
Her heart is colder than ice.
Lots of people think she has a soul,
But she’s nowhere near that nice.

Lady Death watches as you cross the road,
Watches as you catch the flu,
Lot’s of people think they are safe.
But she’ll get them after you.
