The Artist Mind

Life through the mind of an artist
Not necessarily painters or sketchers
But also those who form pictures
With words, music or film.
They are dark, lost, forlorn, overlooked,
But only in their own mind's eye.
Depression forces out introspection.
Introspection turns to deep thoughts.
Deep thoughts are elegantly displayed,
In dark colors, words, notes and pictures.
Depression seems inescapable, neccessary,
In order to have thoughts of meaningful inspiration.
They cling to the immense darkness
Because they fear to lose their artistry.

(I'm sorry if this offends anyone, I don't mean to put everyone who considers themselves an artist in this cadegory. It was just an observation I made amongst a few of my artist friends.)
