Little Songbird

Little songbird came a'singing at his window every morning
And she sang with all her heart
But he never stirred
No, he never stirred.

Little songbird perched outside everyday
Hoping he'd watch the sun come up with her
But he never did
No, he never did.

He never waked.
Never looked her way.
So she flew away.
Yeah, she flew away...

What's a girl to do
When a boy doesn't know she exists?
Doesn't see her beauty
Doesn't hear her call
And she can't help but fall
Till there's nothing left
No, there's nothing left
At all.

Little songbird didn't sing to him anymore
She watched from afar and hoped he'd find her
But he never searched
No, he never searched.

Little songbird thought it was the end
Until one day he was walking and he caught her eye
And he sang to her.
Yeah, he sang to her.
Oh, he sang to her...

What's a girl to do
When she feels so loved that she could burst?
Didn't see him looking
Didn't hear him call
And she can't help but fall
When it's just him and her.
And there's nothing else
At all.

Little songbird came a'singing at his window every morning.
