Mirrors

I'm feeling cold in this 100 degree hate you're bringing.
I'm shutting the screen door on myself
leaving you and your flames,
I need to get away for a while
from myself.
I don't expect you to understand,
you, with your fake smiles and rainbows.
We live in different worlds now.
I feel like a chance in my new world
to be somebody.
Myself, prehaps.
You think you're the one winning,
All this was your idea.
You get a gold star in unoriginality
And twisted phrases, blood-soaked tongues.
Look in the mirror, who do you see?
I imagine
Not one person
But fragments of many,
Fragments, shattered like glass,
as you tear them apart.
