In Every Silence
This is my logic:
People don't think
that it will last
because I am sixteen.
I have to say
that their doubts help
because I will prove them
wrong.
But I must mention
my fears are there
the
"What if we *don't* last?"
My logic says
in the face of this:
(it might not last
but I don't care
because it feels
so good.)
When we can say
in every silence
"I love you
what's on your mind?"
I think it shows
that we are true
and care enough to shine
to listen
and hear
and accept
and even
think the same.
People don't think

because I am sixteen.

because I will prove them
