Mad As A Hatter
He’s mad as a hatter, thin as a dime,
Made of no substance, not made to understand,
Floating around with no care, till he finds out,
The world isn’t a very pretty place to land.
He was a beautiful boy,
With a too thin smile,
Barely held together he was falling apart.
Beautiful girl, he didn’t love her,
She stroked his hair at night,
Watching as he cried for a boy,
That had broken his heart,
Like a toy to tear apart.
Well here's a lesson you must learn:
Broken happiness doesn’t heal,
Like broken bones in neon casts,
Twisted joy and crooked smiles,
Just like the Cheshire cat, disappear last.
Made of no substance, not made to understand,
Floating around with no care, till he finds out,
The world isn’t a very pretty place to land.
He was a beautiful boy,
With a too thin smile,
Barely held together he was falling apart.
Beautiful girl, he didn’t love her,
She stroked his hair at night,
Watching as he cried for a boy,
That had broken his heart,
Like a toy to tear apart.
Well here's a lesson you must learn:
Broken happiness doesn’t heal,
Like broken bones in neon casts,
Twisted joy and crooked smiles,
Just like the Cheshire cat, disappear last.

I wrote this in a brief spurt of anger towards Brendon... Just finally decided to post it.
