Nothing Can Hurt Me

I watch you from a distance,
I watch as your face twists and contorts,
As if into reflected mirrors of shame, revulsion and hatred.
Each emotion balancing the other as if they're being weighed.

Your eyes are so dark and hollow,
They hold such menace in them that it makes me cower,
It makes me tremble and shake in fear,
But it still manages to take my interest.

Your words are rolling off of your tongue,
They're quick and sharp,
Straight to the point,
They whip at me,
Cut me open and try to start the crimson river up again...

But no,
Not this time,
I will not be defeated.

I will not cower,
I will not fear,
I will stand strong,
I will make you hear.

Nothing can hurt me.

You prod and you push,
But my wall will not give,
Pay your respects,
And make a fucking wish.

Nothing can hurt me.
Nothing ever will.
