One Blind Boy

He lived his life like any other
Full of hormones and drama
Then one day
There was a blinding white light
It shined on top of her
But instead of realization
It blinded him

The heartbeats were for another girl
He believed that she could be the one
Yet she had a secret
She was heartless
She didn’t know right from wrong
But he saw perfection
Stupid light

A few years passed
He asked her to marry him
A foolish mistake that he made
It was so careless
That he had to pay for it
With the life that should’ve been
The life he’d enjoy

She said yes
They married in the most romantic spot
Everything seemed perfect
But perfect is such a stupid word
It means nothing
Because nothing is perfect

They had 2 kids
Both amazing looking boys
Both behaved boys
Both interesting boys
Both misunderstood boys
But don’t blame them
Blame the parents

Back then
Happy and joyful
Now
Compulsive liars and angered
Was there anything that can stop them?
There was
But she’s too far now to find

Now just hush up
Take your life
It wasn’t meant to like this
Your eyes weren’t meant to be blind
Your love wasn’t meant for her
They were meant for me.
