Depressional Love

Her eyes dripped remorse as she picked up the film
that represented the great times, she had with him.
Years gone by with smiles on their faces.
There was a time when he would tie her converse shoe laces.
But now, he was gone, a thing of the past.
Everyone was right, when they said he wouldn't last.
Was it wrong of her to have faith in love?
When he was the only one she could think of?
Now she sees, she's a fool more than ever
Especially when she believed he said theyd always be together.
The wetness from her eyes, runs onto the photography
spreading the colors of the ink, erasing another memory.
She recalled every time their lips touched.
Every dinner date, every rose, and things as such.
Never in her life did she think he'd be the one to betray.
Because he told her he loved her a year ago from this day.
Even though a rainbow shone brightly outside.
Her world had turned gray when his love for her died.
As the shimmering sun melted into the evening sky.
One who watched carefully, could see a tear slip out of her eye.
