Blind Your Eyes.

As opposed to a summer’s day,
I’d rather stay at home awake.
Crawl under the soft, warm covers
But there’s no real escape.

Now the days are going faster, faster;
Another tragic misery.
Each yesterday full of regrets
Is but an empty page of history.

And every step I try to take,
I somehow end up pulled behind.
And every time I catch my breath,
I lose another tick of time.

I’m racing with the universe
Running circles, round planet Earth
But life won’t go the way I plan
Someday, somehow, will come the end.

The end is close,
Now close the blinds
And let the darkness
Blind your eyes.

Now the days are going faster, faster;
Life’s eternal mystery.
Each yesterday full of regrets;
Another blank page of history.

Then the dreaded day will come
And when you open your eyes
You’ll find that life doesn’t hold
Once upon a time’s...

Now the days are going faster, faster;
The earth’s silent iniquity.
Another yesterday full of regrets;
Whispered lies and hidden misery.

With each deafening silence,
I attempt an escape,
But the darkness and guilt
Keep me awake.
