Fall So Easy

Michelle:
He’s cold, he’s callous
He doesn’t care about us
Seems perfectly content
To just push me down.

Todd:
Then call me, and I’ll be
Standing by your side,
To hold you up when
He makes you fall.

Both:
And oh, it’s kind of scary,
How I, could fall so easy,
(Todd) For someone who needs me
(Michelle) Who never will deceive me,
(Together) Who simply loves me, for me.

Michelle:
He says, I’m hopeless,
That I’m not worth his time,
Doesn’t seem to hear it
When he makes me cry.

Todd:
I will never, ever forgive him,
For all he’s done to you,
I’ll hold you, wipe away your tears,
Because life without you is utterly bland.

Both (as above)
And oh, it’s kind of scary,
How I, could fall so easy,
For someone who needs me
Who never will deceive me,
Who simply loves me, for me.

Michelle:
You’re warm, you’re thoughtful,
You’re always there when I call,
Seem perfectly content
To watch me shine.

Todd:
You called me, and I was,
Standing at your side,
Held you up when
He made you fall.

Both:
And now, it’s not so scary,
How I, could fall so easy,
For someone who loves me,
Who always cares about me,
Who simply loves me…
For me…

This song will feature in my new story I have yet to post, of the same name. The basic outline is;
Michelle's boyfriend Scott is not the ideal man. He's an abuser, a user and a downright loser. Michelle's best friend Todd, on the other hand, is the perfect guy. He's cute, he's funny, he's nice and he genuinely cares about her. Through all the ups and downs in their lives, one thing has been a constant. Their friendship. What will it take for Michelle to wake up and realise that Todd is the one she should fall for?
