We Died Together

The trees that linger on the sand,
Whispering soft words to us as we look in,
Each others eyes hand in hand.

I look into his eyes,
A conversation without words,
I look away so that he doesn't see that what I'm saying hurts.

Shivers are sent down my spine,
As the cool water gently touches the tips of our toes.

We are moments away from becoming one with the earth,
Our heads inches away from the surface of the water...
I take my last breath to say that I love him.
