Mirror

The man created
the reflecting mirror
so that one could see
one's own face.

But with reflection,
came cruel vanity
and we humans
fell to disgrace.

For this avarice,
oh, deadliest sin,
was meant to be hidden
from human eyes.

For to be able
to see our own faces,
we shall see,
our own demise.
