Soft like a butterfly's wings
Barely fits a child's shoulders
Heals and redeems
Confidence and strength.
White cotton sanctuary
Many tears in its seams
Many secrets weaved inside
Many cries it stifles
And gave security
To little girl and boy.
Comforts like sunshine
After a storm
Saving the children
From themselves.
