My Downfall

You walked into my life,
with your easy-going air.
You introduced yourself,
but I didn't want you there.

I knew that I would fall for you,
right when I heard your voice.
I tried to look the other way,
but I had no choice.

So that began my downfall,
my weakness here at last.
I don't know what you did
but I began to fall so fast.

I don't know how you did it,
all your charms and rhymes and smiles.
I hoped you didn't notice
that I liked you all this while.

But in this poem I've let you know,
what my true feelings are,
I hope that you don't let me down
And leave my heart another scar.
