Six Reasons

Maybe I'm tired of sympathy,
Maybe its a mystery
What I know is I have ten reasons,
Reasons that mean a lot to me.

One reason why I love,

I'm human,
I hate. I'm kind. I'm mean.
I'm as human as the grass is green.

One reason why I hate,

I'm fragile.
Handle me like glass
Too close and you've trespassed.

One reason why I shiver,

I'm scared.
I admit that I have tried
To lock away my urge to hide.

One reason why I run,
I'm lost.
I'm trying to find my way,
I hope that I might find the end,

always.

One reason why I try,
I'm living.
Its not to waste this time,
And find in darkness whats mine,

the rays and a blooming sunshine.

I've seen too many tears to care,
And I've just noticed that mine weren't there.
One reason why I continue to be alive,

Is not only a means of just to survive.

I want to taste the dewdrops, on a thick smooth leaf,
I want to see a shooting star and still believe.

I want to shake the snow off the tall winter trees
I want to watch a rose bloom, I want to see,

It thrive.

One reason why I continue to be alive.
