Romeo and Juliet

I feel the rain fall,
As moments pass in a mess,
I’m just another broken Juliet,
In her tattered bridal dress.

Where is my Romeo?
Why must we never be?
Why is fate forcing you,
To never be with me?

These star crossed nightmares,
Prevent me from falling asleep,
Because all the memories of you,
Are the only things I keep.

I swear you feel the same,
Like a dagger through the heart,
Yet it is your family that,
Makes you play the part.

So this Juliet is broken,
No poison to save her face,
As feelings devoted for you,
Degrade and are laid to waste.

Romeo will you break the curse?
Will you kiss my frozen lips?
Or sacrifice yourself for the good,
Of the wife your lips once kissed.

Fate is cruel,
It is unkind,
When it forces you,
To leave me behind.

In a tattered old bridal dress,
And a tear shining in my eye,
Waiting for that time,
When one of us shall die.

Yet I should have expected this,
Since I have never felt such woe,
Then the day I fell in love,
With my fated Romeo.
