Pieces Of A Jigsaw Puzzle
Walking down the street
See humans all around
People from different shades
Stepping on the same ground
You see people with different traits
People with different faces
Working as one
Living in the same places
It’s no longer ignored
The truth is realized
The essence that is needed
To keep humans harmonized
Who are you as a person
And the land you come from
Doesn’t have an effect
On whom you’ll become
The color of your skin
Will not give you power
It’s just an excuse
An age-old flower
It won’t diminish you either
Won’t belittle you at all
It shouldn’t be the cause
Of when you rise and when you fall
It’s just a mere reminder
To others out there
That yes, you are different
But should still be treated fair
Imagine every human
Same color, same size
No difference to appreciate
No beauty to recognize
Underneath the differences
Lies a similarity
That we are all humans
And are all made equally
Each of our contrasts
Should bring us together
As if we are pieces
