Life Isn't A Game; There Are No Rules

Life isn’t a game;
there are no rules.
Every day we live,
we make it up,
fake it all.
The good things that happen
are only coincidences.
Every breath we take,
every laugh we make,
every death,
every cry,
are only lucky chances.
Life isn’t a dance;
there are no steps.
We stumble, we trip, we fall,
we get up as though there’s nothing wrong.
There are no time-outs,
no retries,
no consolation prizes.
We try, we fail;
so,
you understand why
I did what I did.
I did what I did
because
life isn’t a game;
there are no rules.
