Here and Now

Here and now...

A little girl cries.
her big brown watery eyes
crying for mercy

A teenage boy watches tv
the same comercials
playing over and over

A father is smoking
slowly killing himself
with the poison

A mother is yelling
screaming for help
but no one answers

A young boy with no helmet
rides the quad
with no care in the world

A girl on the computer
writes this poem
while her parents argue her fate.
