Four Boys, One Girl

Four boys,
One girl.

She met boy one over the weekend,
But they didn’t want the days to end.
He stays in contact from home.
She wishes he’d come.
They clicked right away,
Didn’t want to go their own way.

Four boys,
One girl.

Boy two transferred to her school,
Her clique decided he was cool.
They hang out almost every day,
Calling from down the hall, “Hey!”
They probably won’t see each other after May.
They both already dread that day.

Four boys,
One girl.

Boy three has been there since she arrived,
Hiding in the shadows, silenced.
He finally came out of his shell of solitude,
To join the mass multitude.
She finally saw what kind of boy he is,
He finally saw what kind of girl she is.

Four boys,
One girl.

Boy four has been there for quite a while,
She always tried to keep the distance apart a mile.
The boy was always running,
She was never chasing.
The boy finally took the time to know her.
His heart he’s ready to give her.

Four boys,
One girl.

Each boy has something about him.
The girl is lost and confused by them.
Each separate boy seems to like her.
She’s just trying to be her.
What can she do without hurting them?
The obvious answer: Avoid them.

Four boys,
One girl.
