On the Wings of an Angel

Upon a land so far away,
An angel came to earth to play.
She was a stunning sight to see,
Just thirteen but young and free.
Her pale blonde hair fell down her back,
Her eyes were the color of spring lilac.
She fluttered down into the sea,
Her halo shifting in the breeze.

Her angel wings were spread out wide,
As she landed upon the water-side.
On the shore there sat a boy,
The sight of him filled her with joy.
She came to earth so she could play,
And embrace the freedom of this day.

There was something she didn’t know,
The boy was putting on a show.
He knew exactly what to do,
If an angel happened to pass through.
She spoke to him with tender care,
But speak back he didn’t dare.

The boy was guarding the gates of hell,
so the angel’s wouldn’t find its shell.
He sprouted horns from his demon head,
His kind appearance quickly shed.
He pierced her through the holy heart,
She knew her move was never smart.

She crumbled slowly to the ground,
And then the demon turned around.
“What a fool” the demon said,
“You approached a demon, now you’re dead.”
She couldn’t help but just to say,
“I guess it’s over… my day of play.”
