In My Dreams I Dream Of You

Every night, when I close my eyes,
One thing always consumes me,
And softly spins an angel,
A web of mangled dreams.

I dream about the day,
You will hold me in an embrace,
And I dream about the day,
I can see your cheeky face.

And I dream about the night,
When you finally take me whole,
And I dream about the night,
When you become a part of my soul,

And I dream about the time,
You will make me yours,
And I dream about the time,
When you kiss away my flaws.

And I dream about when,
You will tightly hold my hand,
And I dream about when,
I finally leave my fantasy land.

And I dream about leaving,
This prison full of hope,
And I dream about leaving,
A world that I can’t cope.

Because when I close my eyes,
I find myself always dreaming,
And looking into your eyes,
And see them softly gleaming,

And you lean into me,
And you breath into my ear,
All of the words,
You know I want to hear.

But then I wake up,
And fear takes its place,
And I realise that I’m broken,
And that I have fallen from grace.

But every night I dream,
I dream a dream so true,
Because every night I dream,
About always being with you.
