Rain Drops

I'm sitting on a sidewalk in the middle of town.
the rain drops fall without the slightest sound.
I look over my shoulder to see if anyone heard.
I was saying to myself those three forbidden words.
I look around once more and didn't see a thing.
but I heard the most faintest dainty, little ring.
So I look back down the rain washed street.
And saw an orphan child with bells on his feet.
He looked in my eyes and began to sing.
Oh, his voice was a glorious and happy thing.
You could tell me physically my life is full of sadness.
When really all I ever feel is sunshine, glee, and gladness.
So if you really love him tell him that you do.
When he tells you that he does too, tell him I sent you.
For love is much more valuable than gold,
be happy, evermore, that you told.
