The Squinted World

The window reveals a world outside,
the stars twinkling in the night sky,
the bush lets go branches,
which taps against the glass.

Off in the distance,
a lamp post shines bright,
that lights up all the night.

If i squint my eye,
appears a chandelier,
which hangs from a high branch.

Look to the left,
almost nothing left,
of the sunset that loomed above.

Far to the right,
a train goes by in the night,
airplanes zoom over our heads,
the day is all gone,
the kids are inside,
grasshoppers are the only thing heard.

That's the world that appears to me,
come on down and you will see,
this world, through my squinted eyes.
