Love And Lies

Saying sorry was always the hardest part
Saying good-bye was always the easiest

Losing yourself was never a lie
Losing sight was a memory of the olden days
When you were at best

Lying to someone never felt so good
As when you lied to the ones you loved
Or love for that matter

Hell binds itself in the background of my thoughts
Lacking a living conscience, I stumble around drunk
Drunk with the fury inflicted upon myself

As of seeing badly-written lovenotes
And mispelled poems
Explaining love as if it was a simple thing
A metaphor

Well, love isn't simple
There is nothing like love

And I wouldn't know that
A kiss to remember is what I seek the most
Whilst a love to recall is what I haven't lost
